Jagbir S. Natt, D.V.M., C.C.R.T.
Medical Director
Dr. Natt began practicing veterinary medicine after completing additional studies at Purdue University West Lafayette in 1992. He started working at several different veterinary hospitals in Chicago and the Bay Area before opening his first practice in south San Jose in 1994, Almaden Animal Clinic. Dr. Natt then went on to purchase Serra Veterinary Hospital in 1999.
Dr. Natt’s special interests are orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. These surgeries include knee (stifle), patella, fracture repairs, and spinal along with an array of soft tissue procedures. Dr. Natt has also completed his CCRT (Certified Canine Rehab Therapist) so he can better help his postoperative orthopedic cases, and he is a traveling mobile surgeon for the Bay area and Central valley. Dr Natt is a member of the Mobile Veterinary Surgeon Group called S.U.R.G.E. and attends multiple seminars each year to keep up with the latest technology in the orthopedic field.
When not at the clinic, Dr. Natt likes to spend time with his family, go on bike rides, and do yoga. Dr. Natt is a IFR Certified pilot since 2008 and has a great group of aviation friends he has made along the way.
Karanveer Khurmi, D.V.M.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Khurmi grew up in a medical family and always knew he wanted to combine the challenge of medicine with his love for animals. He was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2015. Following graduation, Dr. Khurmi practiced Emergency Medicine in Wisconsin, where he spent three years treating a variety of small animals in an Emergency Critical Care Hospital. When he moved to California, he continued to pursue Emergency Medicine along with General Medicine. He believes in serving patients with the highest standard of medicine and educating caregivers.
Dr. Khurmi’s clinical interests are Emergency and Critical Care Medicine. He also wants to branch out to orthopedic procedures such as TPLO, fracture repairs, and advanced soft tissue procedures. Dr. Khurmi also provides volunteer medical care to animal rescue groups locally in Sacramento.
When he is not working, Dr. Khurmi loves to travel, meet new people, learn about different cultures, and spend time with his family. In his spare time, he loves reading up on history and improving his surgical skills. His thirst for knowledge and commitment to continuous learning have kept him updated with the latest advancements in veterinary science.
Jose Ibarra, R.V.T.
Jose grew up in the Bay Area. Since he was young, he had a passion for helping animals. Jose attended Carrington College in San Leandro from 2008 to 2010, graduating with an AS degree with honors.
Jose passed his state board exam and received his Registered Veterinary Technician license in December of 2010. He started his career in a general practice clinic in Hayward, where he developed his hands-on skills and became the practice manager after 2 years.
In 2013, Jose started working at Sage Specialty Hospital, where he worked in neurology/neurosurgery for 2 years, and then in the surgery department for 5 years. During this time, he assisted with soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, including fracture repairs and TPLOs.
In 2020, Jose moved to Modesto where he helped start up a new hospital, Standiford Veterinary Center. Jose developed their Surgery, ICU, Emergency, and Critical Care departments. Jose also developed their advanced imaging services with CT scans and ultrasounds. For the past 3 years, Jose has been the clinical manager at Standiford Veterinary Center.
Jose’s clinical interests are orthopedic surgeries, soft tissue surgeries, advanced imaging (CT Scans), wound care, cast placements, arthroscopic and laparoscopic procedures, and handling any emergency that may walk through the door.
When Jose is not caring for your pets, he loves spending time with his wife Stephanie, his 2 French bulldogs Clara and Lucy, and his chihuahua Kit. He also enjoys traveling and meeting new people.
Jacklin Collinsworth
Jacklin grew up in the Bay Area. She has always been surrounded by wildlife and animals, and eventually she grew a passion for helping animals.
In 2017, Jacklin began her journey working with a mobile veterinarian. In 2021, she decided to expand her knowledge and started working at SAGE Veterinary Centers in the surgery department. At SAGE, Jacklin expanded her knowledge with soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
Currently, Jacklin is in R.V.T. school to become a certified R.V.T. and will be taking her National Board R.V.T. test.
On Jacklin’s days off, she spends a lot of time with her cat Mr. Pancake and her boyfriend. She takes a lot of pride in her family and her pets, and makes sure they know what unconditional love is.
